Rosa received her first prize in Art while she was in the 7th grade in East Hampton Junior High. She graduated from East Hampton High School, the Apex School of Cosmetology, Dabney Community College, and Mary Baldwin College. She is presently a teacher in the Springs After School Program in East Hampton. Rosa worked as a substituted teacher in the Lexington Va. School System and also taught Art in their summer program. She is a receptionist for the Montauk Artists Association art Gallery in Montauk, New York.
Her work is in the collection of Ann Owen, Don Baker- Director of the Lime Kiln Outdoor Theater, the principal of Lilburn and Downey Middle School, the Staunton Va. Medical Center, Queen and Leon Parks of East Hampton, Bea and Robert Tharp, India Clark and various other clients.
Rosa has exhibited her work in Chase Manhattan Bank, the Bridge Hampton Bank, East Hampton, the Bank of New York, East Hampton, Guild Hall, and Ashawagh Hall in East Hampton. Gurneys Inn, Montauk, the Montauk Yacht Club, Montauk, New York. the East End Arts and the East End Photographers, Riverhead New York.
Rosa is a member of the long Island Black Artists Association, Montauk Artists Association.
Have received prizes from the Rockbridge County Fair in Lexington, Va. Rosa won the East Hampton Independent Newspaper Photo Contest.
